Our company has continued to grow based on our re-investment in technology. In the last few years, we’ve listened to our customer’s feedback and have been focusing on improving our cloud-based technology and service offerings. This will allow us to stay competitive in the marketplace and secure our position as an innovator in the space.

Where are you based?

We are a US based company operating out of Lyndhurst, New Jersey

When was the company launched?

The company was founded in 1981 by Albert Saviano. As the company has grown, it became a family oriented business that includes his son and daughters as executives in the company.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Our biggest wins to date have come primarily in the form of acquisitions and partnerships which have allowed us to scale our service offerings and build on our technology stack. In 2010 PGM acquired CMS Billing which allowed us to strengthen our speciality-specific service offering. And, in 2016, PGM Billing was selected by Amazing Charts as the company’s exclusive billing partner which greatly expanded our ability to serve our customers with end-to-end revenue cycle management.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Our market consists of anyone who submits a claim to an insurance provider. This includes physicians and healthcare facilities including laboratories. Our current client base encompasses the full spectrum of medical specialities, including Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Pathology, EMS & Ambulatory Services, Cardiology, Nephrology, Urology, Pain Management, OB/GYN, Gastroenterology, and many more.

Tell us about your team?

As mentioned, we’re a family oriented business with family filling positions everywhere from operations to business development to CEO. This helps hold everyone accountable. As we’ve grown, our board has also grown with notable board seats held by both healthcare veterans as well as those who are leading in the healthcare technology field.

What are your long-term plans for your product/company?

We just launched a scholarship program (http://www.pgmbilling.com/images/pdf/PGM_Scholarship_App_2017-2018.pdf) to reinvest back into those leading the future of technology. Aside from that, we are focused on building out a cloud-based solution that will allow for overall better management of data for both us and our clients.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Not sure if this qualifies, but my iPhone 7 Plus is my obsession. I’m always on the go and this provides a tool that keeps me connected and provides a screen size that is just right.

Aside from that, I’m obsessed with home-based “internet of things” type of devices. Nest is a company I have quite a bit of admiration for and love how they rely on technology to drive innovation and their seamless integration with services like ifttt that improve daily living.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

I wish we could automate the data ‘input’ or collection a bit easier. But, for us, patient records are not only extremely private but also extremely unique to each individual. As a result, this process tends to still be more on the manual side from the provider.
