How are you different?
Our goal is to massively reduce the impact fashion has on the environment (fashion is the 2nd largest polluter globally) by creating highly desirable apparel using sustainable materials and practices. Coffee is 250% more effective at controlling odour than other competing products, and won’t wash out of the fabric – so you won’t have to throw out your gym shirt because of the smell – it will control odour for the life of the garment, which saves you money in the long run, and is better for the environment.
Why will the company / product do well?
Our technical apparel performs and fits better than the market leading apparel in the same categories, plus it has more purpose than just generating profit, so consumers can feel good about their choice at the checkout.
Where are you based?
Sydney, Australia
When was the company launched?
October 2013
What have been your biggest wins to date?
Developing high performing technical apparel enhanced with Coffee for performance and permanent odour control. Plus partnering with Velokhaya.com by providing a percentage of our revenue has been tremendously rewarding.
What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
Anyone who works out, or runs for exercise, and Road and Cyclocross cyclists.
Tell us about your team? It’s just me starting out – I’ve started this solo, with a tremendous amount of support from my amazing wife and 3 little boys. I’m still working as a full time airline pilot, which has been my profession for the last 17 years, and I’m passionate about fitness, cycling, clean eating and coffee.
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
Expansion of the product line to offer a wider range of apparel that’s made in a better way. Potential collaboration with like-minded businesses.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?
I love my smartphone – use it for everything, and would feel lost without it. I also like my Sonos sound system. It’s made it easy to bring music into my life every day.
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
I have my eye on a Smith Optics Route helmet. I like the innovation of using advance aircraft materials for impact absorbtion.
Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?
I’d like people to consider looking to OORR instead of the major brands like Under Armour and Nike, for example. The pricing is equivalent, but you’re getting a product that has more purpose than just profit, the garment performs better, and will last longer.
