Describe the company

MysteryVibe is an award winning British sextech company that designs luxurious pleasure products. Our flagship product, Crescendo, is the world’s first body adapting vibrator designed to give the user a completely personalised pleasure experience. We’re working hard to encourage dialogue around pleasure and change perceptions in a positive, empowering way.

How are you different?

At MysteryVibe, we understand that everyone is unique. When it comes to intimate products, one size does not fit all, which is why Crescendo responds to your body and desires to shape your perfect pleasure experience.

Unlike other products in the market, Crescendo bends to fit your body, allowing you to discover what works best for you. Designed with 6 motors, you can adapt the toy to give you a more intense and powerful orgasm.

We believe in the power of technology when it comes to enhancing pleasure. The MysteryVibe app extends the personality of your toy by taking control of its vibrations to suit your every desire.

Where are you based?

We’re based in the heart of London in Shoreditch, where we are working on the next generation of pleasure toys.

When was the company launched?

MysteryVibe was founded by a group of researchers, engineers and designers bringing together their experience from Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Sharp, Canon, Philips and Deloitte. Inspired by trends in smartphones like Nokia Morph, the founders came up with the idea of creating a pleasure product that would adapt to any body shape and vibrate to any pattern. They continued to research for a number of years before formally starting the company in May 2014, when they were selected to be incubated by London-based industrial design firm, Seymourpowell.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

In 2016, we became the first pleasure brand to win the Startup Sesame Event Accelerator award, the Young Guns Award and to be showcased at the Virgin Voom Awards. We were also nominated for the Best Hardware Start-up award at Europas, another world first for a pleasure product.

But our biggest win is hearing positive feedback from customers who now couldn’t live without their Crescendo!

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

We want to appeal to anyone and everyone who wants to take control and experience the best pleasure. . Crescendo was designed to be gender-agnostic and can be used by singles and couples of all orientations.

Tell us about your team?

We work closely with experts around the globe to ensure we create the very best product and user experience possible. So we set the business up on a partnership-based model.

Our partners include one of the world’s leading design and innovation firms, Seymourpowell; a key design, manufacturing and supply-chain firm, RPD; an agile electronics development studio specialising in real-time hardware, Microdex; a software development studio specialising in mobile, web and IoT applications, Untitled Kingdom; and many others.

The core MysteryVibe team currently consists of 5 people, all experts in their fields of electronics, supply chain and marketing.

What are you long term plans for your product/company?

Our vision is to become a one-stop-shop for all things pleasure. We want MysteryVibe to be the first name that comes to mind when people are looking for an enhanced pleasure experience.

We’re a tech brand first and foremost. We’re interested in creating a connected, holistic experience for our customers. To do this, we need to take other factors into consideration such as moods and temperature, think of this like IoT for the bedroom.

We want to make every aspect in your pleasure journey as personalised and climatic as possible.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Not going to lie – we’re a little bit obsessed with our office pet – a Sphero BB8 robot!
