Irish Parcels Send your parcels within Ireland, to the UK or Worldwide with Irish Parcels. We offer a full door to door service for both business and individuals.

Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Irish Parcels is a new courier comparison service that helps individuals and small businesses save up to 80% on their parcel delivery and shipping costs.

We offer fast and reliable parcel delivery to over 200 countries worldwide, at excellent low rates

We’ve negotiated great prices from top couriers (such as TNT, DPD and GLS) which we are able to pass onto our customers. We offer a quick and easy online booking system, door to door service and full online parcel tracking.

To sum it all up: Irish Parcels will help people save time and money on shipping.

How are you different?

There are a few things which make Irish Parcels different. Unlike other courier services, Irish Parcels is extremely user friendly. Our online booking system so simple to use and it’s pay-as-you go; which means customers don’t have to set up a complicated account or send a high volume of parcels to benefit from our low rates.

We also don’t have a set price list. All shipments sent with us are priced individually based on their size and weight to offer the best value for money.

Why will the company / product do well?

Our extremely competitive international rates help us do well. For small businesses, shipping and logistics can often be a barrier to success and international growth. Overseas shipping costs among existing Irish couriers are notoriously expensive and delivery times are slow.

With our competitive pricing on routes to 200+ countries, we’re providing a service that small businesses have been crying out for and we hope we can finally give local SMEs the opportunity to expand into global markets.

In addition, we think our website and booking system makes individuals and businesses favour us. There are very few other courier services in Ireland with such a straightforward booking process. It literally takes a couple of clicks to complete.

Where are you based?

We are currently based in Coliemore House in Dalkey, Dublin. The broadband is good, so we’ll be staying here for a while!

When was the company launched?

Irish Parcels was launched in July 2015, so we’re only a few months old.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

The immediate response to Irish Parcels felt like a great win to us. Prior to our launch, we gave customers the chance to claim a voucher for €10 off their first order. The response to this, especially with the wealth of businesses that signed up, really proved that there was a market for our service. From then, the business has just gone from strength to strength and our customer base is a growing by the day.

Receiving good customer feedback and seeing repeat business are daily achievements that we really focus on.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Irish Parcels is a service that can benefit individuals and businesses. However, we mostly attract small businesses who are not sending high volumes of parcels to warrant an account direct with a courier and who also want the flexibility of a number of courier options.

In the past few months we’ve seen all kinds of businesses use Irish Parcels. Our business customer span all industries and sectors, but we definitely have a more noticeable amount of product based companies who need to move shipments from Ireland to the UK and further afield.

Tell us about your team?

We have a very close-knit team of ten who work across customer support, marketing, web development, accounts and general management. Everyone in the company has their own role and responsibility which helps us all remain focused and dedicated, but we have a really great level of communication across all the departments. Having a good grasp on how each other’s jobs work is important in a business where such logistics are involved.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

We have big plans for the future and want to continue to grow at an increased pace. There are over 140,000 businesses within Ireland and our aim is to help as many of those as possible with streamlining their shipping and cutting costs.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

We’re interested in Google Glass and we’ve talked a bit about smart watches, but for the moment we’re pretty much all glued to our iPhones.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

Well, it will be very interesting to see what impact drones will have on our industry in the near future and also self-drive vehicles in the distant future.

How do people get in touch with you?

People can get in touch with us via phone, email and live chat. All our contact details are on our website IrishParcels.ie.
