Describe the company – the elevator pitch…
HubBox is an award-winning tech solution that allows any online retailer on any platform to offer Click & Collect at checkout, without changing their courier or fulfilment systems.
How are you different?
For online retailers our integration is incredibly simple and requires no change to the existing courier or fulfilment systems. Setting up a Click & Collect solution can be resource-intensive and expensive for retailers, so HubBox was designed to be hassle-free and affordable. Furthermore, as we’re not tied to a courier, it doesn’t matter how big or small the order volumes are so any retailer can work with us.
Why will the company / product do well?
Every day 310,000 deliveries are missed in the UK. This is the problem we want to solve by offering consumers convenient delivery choice right at the checkout. And, by making our technology available to any size retailer and on any platform, we provide a brand new option not currently available.
Where are you based?
Wandsworth in South West London, although we’re likely to moving closer to the city in the New Year as we’re fast outgrowing our space!

What have been your biggest wins to date?
We had some great wins with the likes of Yoga Rebel, Shore Projects and Huez. We can’t name names but we’ll be launching our tech solution with some of the biggest online retailers in the UK in the next few months too, so watch this space! It’s a real testament to our hard work that we’ve been invited onto these high-end platforms to integrate our solution at the checkout.
What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
We can work with online retailers of any size – and we give the same high level of customer service to small, medium, and large retailers.
Tell us about your team?
We’re a team fewer than 20, although we expect our tech and operations teams to grow quite quickly over the next 12 months. We have a range of skills and experiences, but everyone is pulling toward the same goal.
What are your long term plans for your product / company?
Our long term plan is to launch in France, Germany, Spain and other selected markets. The growth in online shopping in Europe is more than 15% annually so the opportunity to deliver a hyper local Click & Collect exists in the same way that it does here. In addition, the geographies of the above are much larger than the UK, so fulfilment is an even bigger challenge. Click & Collect should be a bigger part of the solution and we hope to have the opportunity to be a part of it.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
More app than gadget, but the team and I live on Slack! It runs all of our key projects, team communications and we even use it to gather feedback from test users. The genius is that it’s hard to pinpoint why it’s so good! My best answer is that the UX is so simple and easy to use.
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
A good quality and genuinely portable projector! I spend so much time presenting, and relying on the technology in other people’s offices is often a nightmare. I’ve bought two recently which haven’t really worked but I would pay good money for one which was light enough to carry around and did a proper job in any normal office lighting!
