GolfBirdie is the first tee to green flyover guide of the worlds top golf courses which allows users to download the free app and browse their favourite courses while gaining a valuable insight to the difficulty of each course. The golfer has the option to view a promotional video of each course or the full 1-18. Also using the distance indicator, golfers can now search for courses near by which will make it easier to find amazing courses while abroad.

How are you different?
What makes us different is the fact we are the first to build an app which allows golfers to view different courses in HD before going to play.
Why will the company/product do well?
The reason GolfBirdie will do well is mainly that we are changing the way golf courses are viewed around the world. We all agree that smartphones are changing the way we live our lives and we believe GolfBirdie will become an essential tool to enhance the golfers experience around the world.
Where are you based?
We are based in Airside retail park in Swords, and we also have an office in Tampa Florida.

When was the company launched?
The company was founded in October 2015 and the app launched in October 2016.
What have been your biggest wins to date?
Our biggest wins to date have been opening our office in Tampa Florida, signing up courses from 6 different countries and reaching the semi-finals of Richard Branson’s Startup competition VOOM 2016, where we went head to head with 6000 other companies to reach the last 30.
What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
We are trying to attract golfers and people who are lovers of the game. The great thing about GolfBirdie is it attracts beginners, amateurs and even pro’s. GolfBirdie is a tool which is invaluable and entertaining for golfers of all standards.
Tell us about your team?
The company was founded by Dean Douglas-Evans (Age 25), Dean Tobin (Age 25) and John Douglas (Age 54). We have an in-house developer, graphic designer and business development manager. There are three guys in charge of GolfBirdie USA who are managing the business on that side of the water.

What are you long term plans for your product/company?
Our long term plans for the company are to build GolfBirdie into a well-known brand within the Golf world and hold over 2000 courses on the app with over 1 million users.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
Our favourite tech gadgets revolve mainly around drones because of the fact we are fanatics! We are non stop testing the newest gadgets to hit the market and trying to enhance our productivity while filming.
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
We would love to look at going down the VR headsets route and bring that into our user experience.
