Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Entrepreneurs Anonymous (EntAnon) is a community of people interested in entrepreneurship. Founders can enjoy inspiring talks, Q&A sessions with experts and networking with fellow entrepreneurs in a friendly environment at the regular networking events we organize. Through our B.U.I.L.D events we focus on knowledge transfer and organize workshops and seminars for business builders.

How are you different?

With 4000 members and at least one event a month EntAnon is the biggest and most active group about entrepreneurship on Meetup.com in Dublin. We have lots of experience with what works after organizing 150+ events tailored for entrepreneurs the last 6 years.

Why will the company do well?

We have a very agile team producing innovative entrepreneur events like How to Become an Unstoppable and Fearless Entrepreneur and GRIT.

We also diversify and don’t put all our eggs in the same basket. Entrepreneur events is not all we do. We are also investing in startups; developing a software tool for networking smarter called Event.Cards and we are the organizers of Travel Meets Big Data – an industry specific hackathon + conference, taking place in Dublin 18th to 20th November 2016.

Where are you based?

We started out in Dublin, expanded to Europe and have also a few chapters in the States

When was the company launched?

Entrepreneurs Anonymous was founded in 2011 by alumni of a business course in Dublin

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Growing from 500 to 10,000+ members in under 18 months

What type of people are you trying to attract?

We invite new and not so new founders, investors and business developers to join our community and attend our events.

Tell us about your team?

We are focused on our team members’ development – our core team is split between Ireland, Belgium, Canada, Thailand and India

We have an expert in each field, from investment to community management, sales management and software development through to heavy data applications and server management. Each team member has a varied background and diverse skills, making us very agile in the face of challenges

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

We plan to have our networking platform Event. Cards be the gold standard for smarter networking during events of any size.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

We are crazy about anything VR, Fitbit and Google Cardboard.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

It would be great to have a magic wand!

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

Sure – in 2016 we launched our first investment initiative by supporting successful applications to Enterprise Ireland’s Competitive Startup Fund with €5,000 for equity.
