Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

ClearSale is a fraud management company aiding e-commerce merchants in safeguarding their companies by carefully sorting through orders to determine whether or not transactions are fraudulent.  ClearSale’s expert team of fraud analysts have over 15 years of experience in halting fraud and we were the first company to guarantee reimbursement for fraudulent chargebacks, offering our clients the peace of mind to focus on their growing businesses without fearing fraud.

How are you different?

Regardless of how big or small your company is, ClearSale has customizable solutions that will work for you. We are always focused on bottom line results and we have experience working in even the riskiest of markets to stop fraud in its tracks, ensuring merchant satisfaction. Unlike many outsourced fraud management companies, we don’t deny orders based solely on Artificial Intelligence; we investigate in detail all non-standard transactions that would be automatically declined by most AI programs thereby generating a higher rate of approval and giving you more business.

Why will the company / product do well?

Since its inception in 2001, ClearSale has grown tremendously thanks to our state-of-the-art fraud prevention technology and the unmatched attention we offer each client. Named Brazil’s 2nd-fastest growing company in 2010, ClearSale now proudly serves a majority of Brazilian e-commerce merchants with 75% of Brazil’s market share. Since expanding our operations, we have been experiencing and continue to foresee exponential growth.

Where are you based?

We have offices in Brazil and Miami, but we work with customers from all over the world without geographical restriction. We just onboarded a client from Dubai and finished integration with another client from Sri Lanka. ClearSale has over 700 fraud analysts on our team ready to help every business reach its true potential regardless of it is located.

When was the company launched?

We were founded by ClearSale CEO Pedro Chiamulera in 2001. Fun fact: Before becoming an entrepreneur, Pedro was a two-time Olympic athlete representing his home country of Brazil.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Any business is subject to fraud. Well-known stores and stores that sell riskier products tend to be targeted first, but fraudsters don’t discriminate and neither do we! We offer the same level of care and attention to all of our clients regardless of industry. We are also passionate about aiding merchants who work in markets being neglected by other companies. Many fraud management companies refuse to aid merchants who serve countries like Mexico or the United Arab Emirates; ClearSale is unique in that we are so confident in our fraud management services that we take on clients from these underserved countries with pleasure.

Tell us about your team?

Our team is our greatest asset by far! We are passionate about creating a workplace culture that fosters creativity and innovation. We have been nominated for the “Best Company to Work For” award granted by for The Great Place to Work Institute for the past five years. By creating such a positive work environment, we have been able to attract the most talented individuals in the field keeping ClearSale on the cusp of advancements in fraud management and IT as a whole.

What are your long term plans for your product / company?

Our long and short term plans are the same – continue to remain one step ahead of fraudsters with cutting-edge technologies and expert analysis. We are not a company that seeks to operate for a few years with the intention to be sold to the highest-paying investors. We are industry veterans and fraud prevention specialists; we do this job because we see the value it brings to merchants and we are passionate about the evolving industry. It is difficult to predict the future, but we will continue to serve our clients to aid them in keeping their businesses secure. We feel that complacency is a major hindrance to businesses so we will continue to stay flexible and committed to continuous improvement in the years to come.
