ByteBet is a peer-to-peer betting platform that allows players from anywhere in the world to create customized bets and play against each other.
ByteBet is a decentralized platform where the middleman is eliminated, creating a fair betting environment and a portion of the fees are shared between BBET token holders.
How are you different?
There are several things that make ByteBet stand out.
- We charge much lower fees compared to the industry average. This leaves more money for the players.
- Our reward system incentivizes players to review event results and hold ByteBet tokens in order to receive 50% of the fees. It’s quite similar to a proof of stake concept.
- Players have the freedom to create customized bets on the platform.
- The only way ByteBet makes money is from the fees, that means we’re interested in that people pay more rather than they lose money. Players bet against each other, not against a middleman. That’s a big difference.

Why will you do well?
ByteBet solves a real, burning issue in the betting industry and our team has years of experience building and marketing products. We’re also working on getting experienced advisors on board who will help us stay on the right track.
Where are you based?
We’re based in the UK but some team members work remotely.
When was the company launched?
The project was launched in late September. From that we’re working day and night to make it a reality.
What have been your biggest wins to date?
Seeing more and more people being interested in the project. Considering that we haven’t spent that much money on advertising it’s a huge win. Generating word of mouth is hard but we managed to create it.
Also, we successfully built a strong core team, we used to work together and now we have a chance to do something great again.
Who are you trying to attract to your product?
The primarily target audience are those who already use cryptocurrencies on existing betting platforms and also people who have sufficient knowledge about cryptocurrencies and already play on an existing, non-crypto based online betting site.
What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?
Building anything from scratch requires time and persistence. What we’ve learned in the last years is that in order to build something great you will need a kickass team. You can have a mediocre product but with a great team you will find the way to build a great product people want.
It’s a roller coaster ride that requires flexibility. Make sure to talk a lot with your customer and don’t be discouraged if 90% of the things you tried don’t work out.
Tell us about your team?
Zoltan is responsible for the product’s backend. He is a mathematics and big data enthusiast, possessing 5 years’ experience with DevOps technologies. Zoltan was the CTO of an investor-backed startup for 3 years, and now works as a consultant developer.
Attila is a full-stack developer he is responsible for the frontend part of ByteBet. He has 5 years of experience in web development and has worked in different layers of the stack using various programming languages and technologies. Although he designed and implemented scalable, real-time and Big Data backends, he is passionate about the latest frontend technologies and able to implement pixel-perfect designs and UX.
Tamas (that’s me) is responsible for the full business operation. He has been working in the tech sector for 4 years. He oversees the full marketing operation of startup companies, and is responsible for driving growth. He successfully scaled up lead generation for his current software development agency and also self-published two books on Amazon and has guest written for leading online marketing blogs.
What are your plans for the future?
We’re working really hard to make ByteBet a reality. In the future we want to focus on turning ByteBet into a fast growing online business. That’s our number one priority right now.
What are your favourite tech gadgets?
Among the few tech gadgets I own, my favourites are my Macbook and iPad.
What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?
I wish I had a solar powered smartphone so I never had to worry about leaving my charger at home.
Anything else you’d like to add/we should have asked?
