Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

I empower business owners to manage their social media and time better.

My business’ primary role is to empower the business owner and help them remain accountable for their online presence.

How are you different?

In fairness, all that makes me different is me! There are so many
Social Media Trainers and Managers out there and some are good and some not so much but all I have ever wanted to do, is be fair and give back to Startups, help SMEs become more self sufficient and make account managers more accountable.

Why will you do well?

My particular brand has a “no muss, no fuss” vibe and I have always
pushed the brand as being no nonsense and pretention. This model has
indeed been very successful so far and I’ve made every effort to place
myself on various platforms in order to cluster my marketing.

I’m also not pushing to become the next best thing as a speaker or an
influencer. I love training, it’s something I love and enjoy and love
to help people. It’s my happy place. I believe that’s why I have done
so well so far.

Where are you based?

I’m in Mullingar, Westmeath in the Republic of Ireland

When was the company launched?

I started up (in my infinite wisdom) in 2013 – just the last recession

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Wow, got a few actually, thankfully. I have been recognised as the Best
Business to Business Company in 2018 and in 2019 with the MicroBiz
Awards. Was invited to work with Irish Tech News in 2016. Added as a
Contributor to write for StartUp Mindset in 2019 and last year became a
Mentor with the Local Enterprise Office.

Stomp social media podcasts

Finally last year myPodcasting career began! First I co-founded The Monday Morning Marketing Podcast with my good friend Esther Ocampo and then late last year was added to the Irish Tech News’ podcast team, which I feel was quite an honour. I think this year has some extraordinary things coming up for me too but too early to say!

Who are you trying to attract to your product?

Anyone who wants to begin or regain some power in their social media
presence

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

As a StartUp – on your own or with a small team, you’re all trying to do
too much too quickly in order to bring the bucks in. My suggestion is
to prioritise what you can do first and fast and basic.

You need a website (trust me on this), then to have at least 2 social media
platforms (Google My Business helps you get found online and the right
platform your audience is on, not the one you want to be on). Finally,
remember that your audience is more important than what YOU want to post and please don’t forget to add a Call to Action button.

For existing business owners, as above where appropriate but also, add
your phone number, people want to know they can reach a human.
Oursource what you can or what you hate, you’ll be far happier and more
productive.

Make sure you update your website a minimum once a month by
using a blog or a latest news and all pages of your website need to be
shared on social. Never lie to the customer what you can and can’t do.

It takes years to build a reputation and five minutes to lose it.

Finally, you’ll be surprised what you can achieve by just trying, so hit
up that sponsor, learn something new and stand up and speak. You can’t
be any worse off right?

Tell us about your team?

Well it’s pretty much me right now!

What are your plans for the future?

I hope to reach a stage in the next year or two to add an intern and
start employing people. My brand is better recognised these days and
once COVID19 is behind us I hope to have some true idea of my
projections, I just need to make sure I can support myself first though
in these times.

How do people get in touch with you?
