BLOCKCHANCE Europe 2021, the leading conference in the blockchain and crypto sphere in Europe got the green light to take place in person under the newly established 2G health rules. The 2G option allows people that are either vaccinated or have recovered to attend large events under less stringent conditions.
Here is everything you need to know:
When and where is it on?
2-4 December 2021, Hamburg, Germany
How many years has it been going?
The event has been running since the inaugural event in 2018.
What was the inspiration to start it?
For Fabian Friedrich, CEO and Founder of BLOCKCHANCE, blockchain technology is a huge opportunity to ensure integrity, availability and authenticity of data.
“BLOCKCHANCE was born out of the idea to use blockchain and emerging technologies for a prosperous and sustainable future. In Europe, no platform allowed the real-world economy to connect with the tech and blockchain ecosystem on a high level. BLOCKCHANCE is filling this gap by bringing together bright minds and blockchain and technological expertise with business and economic opportunities.”
What exciting things can people look forward to?
“People can look forward to three days full of great talks, presentations by key leaders and influencers in the field of blockchain, hands-on workshops, and fun. There will be a blockchain cinema, a start-up award (up to EUR 100,000), parties, and an art gallery. Key topics are blockchain technology use cases, digital assets, sustainability, governance, token economy, digital banking, and AI.”
What opportunities are on offer for those attending?
“There will be great opportunities to meet over 1,500 other attendees, 120 world-class speakers, over 150 sponsors and investors. Many of them are high-level executives that are looking to implement blockchain technology and to hear about business use-cases.
“Many are just like-minded blockchain enthusiasts that are coming to exchange and create new blockchain ideas. There are start-ups, large financial institutions, digital companies, NGOs, politicians and software developers. The diversity and quality of the people attending are what makes this event so outstanding.”
Who will be speaking?
“Joseph Lubin, Co-founder of Ethereum and CEO Consensys, Raoul Pal, co-founder of Real Vision, Michael Saylor, CEO of Microstrategy just to name but a few of the 120 world-class speakers. We have UN SDG advocates, representatives of the European Commission, Executives from the crypto space such as Kraken, Bittrex, CEOs of several European digital banks such as TEN31 and high-level executives from large Financial and other Institutions such as Deutsche Bank Digital Assets or UK Gemini. Not to forget all the speakers that join us from blockchain hubs, think tanks and start-ups working in the blockchain ecosphere.”
What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?
“Immerse yourself in it. Make new connections and strengthen old ones. Join live streams through our app if you cannot be there live and above all have fun and enjoy the sessions. If you can come to Hamburg, it is an underrated but very beautiful city with more canals than Amsterdam and Venice combined.”
How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?
“People can attend in person as restrictions have been lifted for those vaccinated or recovered (https://www.blockchance.eu/tickets/). There are also virtual tickets available https://www.blockchance.eu/virtualconference/). Tickets tend to sell out quite fast so it is best to book early.”
“This event is one of a kind as it brings together different sectors from business to finance to anything that can integrate blockchain as new technology. It brings together people that are savvy in blockchain and create innovations with those that want to implement them to make a difference.
“BLOCKCHANCE stands for a positive and sustainable future. Our optimistic curiosity attracts and creates a community of like-minded people, thought leaders and visionaries. Together we can shape the world of tomorrow.”
