What is your background briefly?
Jens Kappe studied computer science and economics and has more than 18 years of experience in building and operating large scale distributed web-apps and e-commerce platforms with two-digit million Euro-budget responsibility. He is part of the cryptocurrency community and follows market and developments closely already since 2011.
Does it seem like a logical background to what you do now?
We are a company with rapid growth during the last two years and need experienced leaders and people that have experience in building large scaled systems and could handle very large projects with multiple-year-timelines. That’s me!
1 min pitch for what you are doing now?
I am one of the four spokespersons for BEAT, talk to legal, present it on conferences, talk about BEAT with investors, partners and press/community, plan the overall roadmap for many years to come for BEAT
Why did you get involved with this ICO?
I am the Chief Visionary Officer for all the companies that are involved with BEAT and have a very strong background in Crypto, as I already mined Bitcoin in 2011 myself and never lost interest again in Blockchain and the whole development of Cryptocurrencies and stuff alike.
Why do you think it is such a powerful idea?
I really think that it is one of the first options to unite companies that normally would not work together, that are competitors in “normal business life”, who neither want to cooperate or share anything of there data. The blockchain technology could store health and fitness data in a dececentralized way AND keep all the rights at the user, that data belongs to AND connects your data with everybody you like to share it with. There are multiple use cases this technology could help emerge, with benefits for companies and users as well, that would not be possible without the BEAT Blockchain.
