Blockchain for Finance Conference EU comes to Dublin’s Aviva Stadium in October

When and where is it on?

The conference will be back at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on October 2-4, 2018

How many years has it been going?

This is the third year that we’ve ran the meeting. We also run two other BFC Conferences… one in Singapore and one in Boston

What was the inspiration to start it?

As an organisation we work with financial institutions to understand how they are working to improve their digital business. We found that there was a substantial lack of knowledge when it came to blockchain and distributed ledger technologies and how they could be utilised within financial services. The conference will have moved from hypothetical discussions in 2016, to how companies are now moving their blockchain projects into production.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

As financial institutions continue to plot the path to commercialisation, the conference will help them to move their blockchain/DLT projects from POC to deployment by discussing:

BLOCKCHAIN BUSINESS CASE: Assess the business case for blockchain adoption and how you can make the jump from POC to commercialisation
TOKENISATION: Understand how the tokenisation of existing assets and creation of new assets will shape the future of financial services
FINANCE USE CASES: Visualise what the future holds for DLT and the role it is likely to play in the future of financial services
APPLICATION AREAS: Hear how DLT is revolutionising trade finance, payments, KYC, asset management, post-trade and capital markets to ensure you’re set for wide-scale adoption
TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE HALL: Examine the latest blockchain applications in our interactive exhibition to prepare your business for implementation
TECHNOLOGY PITCHES: Join us at the pre-conference meetup for Guinness and pizza whilst hearing from the most innovative start-ups developing the latest DLT solution
As well as this amazing content, we will also host a technology/ICO pitch event on the evening of October 2nd at Dogpatch Labs on the evening before the conference begins with Guinness and Pizza!

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

As part of the conference this year we will have an exhibition area with more than 20 booths to help start-ups, investors and institutions to showcase the latest work they are undertaking with blockchain/DLT.

Space is limited so I’d advise companies to get in touch with us ASAP if they want to be involved

Who will be speaking?

We have an exciting mix of tech and finance experts sharing their knowledge this year including:

Jeremy Wilson, Vice Chairman, ?Barclays
Mariana Gómez de la Villa, Global Program Manager Blockchain, ?ING
Moiz Kohari, SVP – Chief Tech Architect, ?State Street
Ken Marke, CMO, ?B3i
Richard Crook, Head of Emerging Technology, RBS ?
Stefano Tempesta, Regional Director, Switzerland?, ?Microsoft
Brian McNulty, Managing Director, ?R3
Gavin Wells, Head of Europe, Digital Asset

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

This year we have space for 400 attendees to join the conference and the cheapest ticket will expire on July 27th so early booking is advised. Tickets can be booked online at http://blockchain.fintecnet.com/register.html
