Beatport and TRAKTOR Team Up to Take Their Users by Storm

Infamous software platform among aspiring DJs, TRAKTOR, has introduced a massive update for its users which offers a wide selection to master any DJ set. This is thanks to an ongoing partnership with Beatport and Beatsource LINK.

The update, which will fall under the title “TRAKTOR PRO 3”, will give users more control over their mix than ever before. Among other new features, users will now be able to search and playback full-length streams, add cue points and loops, create unlimited TRAKTOR playlists, and apply full caching of currently playing tracks to avoid temporary internet outages.

Beatport was founded in 2004 and consists of a large group of companies. These include Beatsource (open format DJ community), Loopmasters, Loopcloud and Plugin Boutique. Their content is curated weekly, and they have head offices in Berlin, Brighton, Denver, and Los Angeles.

Romain Pouillon, SVP & GM of Beatport said the partnership with TRAKTOR is “a long time coming for the global DJ community” and that he is “incredibly proud of the unwavering commitment and hard work” of the respective teams.

Pouillon: “This integration with TRAKTOR PRO is a long time coming for the global DJ community, especially given the history between Native Instruments and Beatport and the big overlap in our customer bases. With this major addition to the LINK ecosystem both companies are delivering a huge win for DJs around the world and marking an important milestone in our joint mission to empower DJs”.

Pedram Faghfouri, Director of TRAKTOR, believes the partnership with Beatport can help DJs “engage in nostalgic exploration”.

Faghfouri: “We’re tremendously happy to be joining efforts with our friends at Beatport to make this integration happen. We believe this paves the way for unprecedented workflows in music discovery and gig preparation, enabling DJs to unearth new releases and artists, and engage in nostalgic exploration”.

No doubt, the partnership between Beatport and TRAKTOR promises nothing but exciting times ahead for music producers and DJs alike, and with each update seeming more and more advanced, the standard of electronic dance music at clubs and beaches around the world is only set to get better.
