We spoke with Tobias Herren to find out more about Bdaq who aim to be the world’s first platform for trading tokens even before they get on exchanges.
What is your background briefly:
I am a Swiss lawyer, holding an MBA from HULT Ashridge Business School and specialised in international commercial and litigation law. I have worked for more than 12 years at the same law firm as a lawyer in Switzerland, mainly on international mandates. I became an equity partner of the law firm www.bratschi.ch in 2014. I served in the Swiss army for two years and finished as First Lieutenant.
Does it seem like a logical background to what you do now?
I was one of the first lawyers in Switzerland who familiarised himself with blockchain technology. I am a passionate enthusiast about cryptocurrencies and blockchain and have built considerable expertise and knowledge in this area. Information technology law is one of my fields of expertise.
1 min pitch for what you are doing now?
I work as a lawyer on international mandates, half of which are litigation, the other half is international contract law and company law. My law firm is growing, so business development in the legal area is another subject that occupies my capacities. The legal and regulatory consequences in Switzerland of blockchain technology are one of these areas I am developing.
Why did you get involved with this ICO?
My track record and qualifications on the one side and on the other side, because I am the company’s representative at its seat in Zug (Switzerland) and taking care of the legal and regulatory aspects of the ICO. In addition, Atal and Jonathan are old friends from my MBA class, so we also maintain personal relationships.
Why do you think it is such a powerful idea?
Our business model covers an absolute niche with an innovative solution, which no one else put into practice until today.
How can people find out more about (i) the ICO and (ii) you and your work?
