An introduction to the Morpheus Network with Roger Crook, ex Global Chief Executive Officer, DHL Global

What is your background briefly?

I was CEO of Capital Springboard in Singapore, strategic advisor to private equity in Europe and Asia and a board advisor to several startup companies in Americas, Asia, and Europe in FinTech and Logistics Technology with a focus on disruption. I was also formerly a Member of the Board of Management, Deutsche Post AG (DeutschePost DHL a Dax 30 listed company) and Global Chief Executive Officer, DHL Global Forwarding & Road Freight Division from 2011 until 2015.

I am a supply chain and logistics expert and veteran of the industry globally.

Does it seem like a logical background to what you do now?

If someone had said to me 3 years ago that I would be working and supporting businesses in blockchain technology, I would have told them they are crazy. Today I believe that with my experience and expertise there is a great fit and I am very happy to be able to give back and mentor and support companies trying to building a better future for world trade.

1 min pitch for what you are doing now?

Today I am a business angel investing in startups in disruptive technology in logistics & fintech, as well as being a CEO entrepreneur in fintech and advising and mentoring ICO startups in Logistics and fintech.

Why did you get involved with this ICO?

I got involved with Morpheus Network because I believe that blockchain is a game changer for global trade and supply chains, because Morpheus Network is a quality company and team with the right approach to making blockchain become a reality for global trade, and primarily because Danny Weinberger is a talented experienced leader, who I believe has the right experience, energy and passion to make this happen.

Why do you think it is such a powerful idea?

The global logistics industry operates today in a very fragmented and dis-functional way, with multitudes of systems and paperwork being used to support the movement of goods around the world. This is costly, inefficient and slow, in comparison to what it could be using blockchain. Blockchain can significant improve the flow of goods around the world by making the process of managing the movement of goods more seamless, faster and less expensive for the end customer. Blockchain can revolutionise global trade.
