Kodak announced today that it is to sell it’s Digital Camera division as it struggles to stay afloat. In what can only be described as a sad ending for a once great camera brand, the idea that Kodak will no longer make cameras is an indication of how bad things really got within the company.

Licensing their patents and selling desktop printers seems to be the remaining business model while spinning off the camera devision is expected to save millions. Understandably as Phone cameras have improved, the need for a separate, compact, point and shoots has become less and less but it is hard to invision how the company will survive at all with such a narrow market to work in now.
