5G Techritory- Demonstrating Europe’s tech dominance

5G Techritory forum will take place digitally, on November 11 and 12, via a custom-built conferencing platform. It will be streamed from Riga, Latvia with speakers joining from all over the world. I spoke with Ieva Baranova about the event and its significance.

5G Techritory- Proving Europes’s tech advantage

We first discussed the purpose of the event, which is in its third consecutive year:

“The aim is to establish Europe’s role as the producer of high-end technologies, rather than to become simply consumers of technologies created elsewhere”.

Ieva explained what separates the event from other conferences of its kind:

“The wide representation of speakers from different industries and organizations and the diversity of topics covered.

The panels will address pressing issues like 5G deployment & innovation, 5G liability ownership, smart cities, 5G vs Wifi, mission-critical networks, and 5G data privacy.

Several panels will look into the future – the advance of edge computing, 5G laptops and wearables, 5G-enabled internet of the future, and even the latest findings on 6G”.

We moved on to speak of the opportunities available for those attending:

“The event will be held on four virtual stages, hosting keynote speeches, panel discussions, and fireside chats. In addition, the digital conference will feature networking opportunities, side event “rooms”, sponsor scavenger hunts, and more.

Only registered and confirmed attendees will be granted access to the platform. The event itself is free of charge. To register for 5G Techritory click here”.

She went to outline the exciting roster of guests who will be sharing their exciting knowledge with those attending the festival:

“5G Techritory will gather 100+ speakers from industry-leading corporations and international organizations, as well as politicians and tech innovators, including:

  • Karim Lesina – Senior Vice President of International External & Regulatory Affairs, AT&T
  • Sebastian Barros – Head of Regional Sales Telco, Google Cloud
  • Dean Bubley – Director at Disruptive Analysis
  • Colin Willcock – Chairman at the 5G Infrastructure Association
  • Andreas Mueller of Bosch
  • David Soldani of Huawei”

For all guests, Ieva mentioned some tips that will help those get the most out of the conference.

“Don’t miss discussions on hot topics such as:

  • The feasibility of OpenRAN networks (with all of the global vendors present)
  • The first year of 5G rollout and what went “wrong”
  • Speeches from unexpected guests from companies such as Sony, Air France KLM, etc”.
