10 finalists of the Accelerate2030 revealed

Today the 10 finalists of the Accelerate2030 initiative are finally known.

Each finalist will be invited to Switzerland to take part of a Scaling week and attend the Social Good Summit in Geneva.

Accelerate2030 is a cross-border scaling programme for positive social and environmental impact launched by Impact Hub Geneva in 2016 and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the founding partner.

Their mission is to scale the impact of ventures that contribute towards the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to help them develop sustainable corporate culture in line with their values.

After this scaling week, Accelerate2030 will support the ten finalists by developing a tailor made 9 month programme by connecting them with the right partners to fit their needs. By the end of the programme each venture will have acquired the tools and networks necessary to scale their social and environmental impact to other countries, as well as develop a corporate culture matching the values portrayed by the Sustainable Development Goals.

Here are  some of the finalists:

BenBen from Ghana is a digital land information platform that aims to promote investment, reduce poverty and encourage transparent land resource management. They argue that the land administration is ineffective.

SafeMotos from Rwanda are creating motorcycle taxis Uber style. Their service makes transport in African cities more convenient and safer.

HearX Group from South Africa has the mission of poviding affordable access to healthcare by using mobile phones and other wireless technology in medical care.

SyaFunda from South Africa providing free access to education through mobile technology by developing digital content that inspires students without access to Internet

SALt from Philippines: They are a social enterprise distributing a sustainable, ecologically designed lantern activated by salt water.

Tree Alliance from Cambodia: A global alliance of training restaurants working to build futures for former street youth, marginalised young people and adults

Piipee from Brazil has developed a solution that removes the smell of Urine, changes its color and therefore doesn’t need cleaning and saves water.

Hablando Con Julis from Columbia is a technical solution helping people with difficultees to talk write and learn.

HM Energy from Mexico converts polluant waste tires into low carbon emitting diesel substitute and carbon black char using innovative thermal conversion modules.

Whole Surplus from turkey creates 360 degrees technology solutions to food waste, hunger and climate change.
