When and where is it on?

How many years has it been going?

This is the 2nd year that Zero day con is running. It was on in Dublin last year, with over 500 senior delegates in attendance and in New York City in October.

What was the inspiration to start it?

We felt there was a gap in the market when it came to a purely enterprise grade cybersecurity event. The level of breaches were increasing and mass ransomware attacks were becoming the norm. We knew the timing was right to bring together the World’s leading experts to explain the complexities of cybersecurity and the steps people could take to protect themselves and their data.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Zero Day Con Dublin 2018 is packed with world class speakers. Attendees will hear from respected cybersecurity experts and industry thought leaders from as they share their knowledge and international best practices. Of the many themes that will be covered, cyber fraud is an area that a lot of delegates are excited about. We will have the head of the fraud unit from the Gardaí and also Tony Sales who has been dubbed “Britain’s Greatest Fraudster” by the British media, clearly anyone with such a unique skill set is intrinsically valuable to almost any major organisation. Tony now provides advice to some of the World’s leading brands on their fraud and loss prevention strategies.

Zero Day Con  will also have interactive learning sessions, keynotes and panel discussions, and will feature an area designated for technology companies to demo and share their latest innovations, products and services.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

  • Learn how to develop a proactive strategy to defend against evolving cyber-attacks.
  • Great networking possibilities: connect with your peers and discuss steps to tackle cybersecurity issues.
  • Gain practical insights and recommendations from CIOs, CISOs and Senior IT Executives.

Who will be speaking?

Some of the notable speakers include Pat Phelan the Senior Vice President of TransUnion, Alan Bambury from CISO at Kerry Group, the Deputy Commissioner at the Office of the Data Protection Commissioners Ireland, John O’Dwyer, and Ronan Murphy, CEO of There will also be speakers from leading companies such as IBM, Laya, Kerry and Johnson Controls.
