By @SimonCocking. More information about Zero Day Con Welcome the Cognitive Era. CIO & CISO conference exploring the world of cognitive, AI, machine learning, block chain & big data.

When is it on?

It is on the 7th of March in the Convention Centre Dublin (9am to 5pm)

How many years has it been going?

It is inaugural

What was the inspiration to start it?

Ireland is lacking a purely CIO/CISO focused event to discuss the latest cybersecurity trends across sectors and for peers to connect and network.

What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version and who will be speaking?

Kurt Pipal from FBI will speak, Denis Kennelly VP Development & Technology IBM, Rik Ferguson VP Threat Research Trend Micro, Tom Kellermann and Hank Thomas from America representing Strategic Cyber Ventures (They will also be looking at startups in Ireland for possible investment), Alan Bambury from Kerry Group, Enda Kyne from FBD Insurance, Richard Harpur from Fexco, Gary Delaney, who heads up AIB’s CyberSecurity Transformation (please see full list here www.zerodaycon.com)
There will also be an exciting VR SOC experience at the IBM Stand where people can try out how a SOC works, how an attack can escalate and how you can stop it.

What opportunities are on offer for people attending your event?

Unique insights on Cybersecurity, Blockchain technology, IOT security, EU GDPR and Cognitive computing.
Dynamic and distinguished speakers and panel sessions.
Exceptional networking opportunities with dedicated time to speak with national and international cybersecurity experts.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

To connect with their peers, to join all presentations and discussions because they will be very educational and will be provided by experts

How can people book tickets?

By going on the website www.zerodaycon.com (it is nearly sold out)

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

The event will also hold an expert EU GDPR panel discussion whereby companies can hear from experts on what GDPR means for global business and how to prepare for it
