Zeeko Achieves Crowdfunding Target in First Week

Zeeko an Irish start-up based at NovaUCD, the Centre for New Ventures and Entrepreneurs at University College Dublin, today announced the successful completion of its crowdfunding campaign launched earlier this week.
Zeeko which was set-up in 2013 by Joe Kenny works to educate parents and teachers to teach their children to stay safe online.

The funds raised will enable Zeeko to publish the Zeeko Internet Safety Guide and put a digital copy into every primary School in Ireland.
The Zeeko Internet Safety Guide provides tangible and specific advice on how parents, teachers, and others can protect children online. The guide advocates an open communication between parents and children, and provides specific suggestions on how to manage this.

Joe Kenny founder of Zeeko said, “While our fundraising target was a nominal €5,000, that we have achieved our goal in three days, is indicative of the demand from parents and educators for information in this area.”

He added, “In 2016, we will be continuing our programme of in-school education seminars for parents as well as updating the Digital Trend Report which we also launched earlier this week. We would like to thank all of those who contributed to our crowdfunding campaign.”
