Women in Tech for Africa – Leveraging our potential to make a difference

This evening a unique free event takes place in DogPatch Labs in the CHQ building, right in the heart of the IFSC. Women in Tech Africa are holding an event for African diaspora women in tech, or anyone else willing to connect with like-minded women in order to network, share inspiring insights on women in tech potential and empower each other.

One of the main reasons for the event is to help develop networking opportunities by area of expertise and location, where African diaspora members can connect, share and exchange on their potential contribution. By also analysing how technology can support Africa’s communities growth, the event focuses on assessing the role that can play African women in tech from the Ireland diaspora .

Women in Tech Africa has the vision to enable women in tech of African origins, wherever they are, to make an impact on people’s lives through the use of technology. With a mission to support female leadership by creating a pipeline for girls/women to choose STEM studies and careers, Women in Tech Africa operates across many countries in Africa and is extending its activities outside Africa to engage African women in the diaspora.

Hosted by DogPatch Labs and organised in partnership with House of Akina, this is a joint event by the Ireland chapter of Women in Tech Africa and the #WeForAfrica initiative. To register for the event please click here.
