Wisetek Solutions, a global leader in advanced used IT asset disposal and secure data destruction services, has been announced as the winner of the Irish Exporters Association ‘Services Exporter of the Year’ award for 2018.
Headquartered in Cork and with further operations in Dublin, Wisetek has a considerable and growing international business with operations in four US locations, Thailand, The United Arab Emirates and most recently the United Kingdom.
In making the award to Wisetek, the Irish Exporters Association judging panel stated that they were impressed by the strong end-to-end service offered by Wisetek, while having an established global presence in a niche industry with a strong skillset and a sense of excellence. The company, they said, has strengths arising from its specialist knowledge in both logistics and engineering and has identified new markets with a strong sustainability theme. They also stated that Wisetek made a recent impressive entry to the US market and that the company is now on track to become one of the largest suppliers of refurbished IT equipment in the world.
Sean Sheehan, CEO, Wisetek said: “We are very proud to be acknowledged as innovative leaders in the Irish export industry. Winning this award is a true reflection of the work, dedication and drive of our staff across the entire company. This is a great endorsement of the quality of our people, technology and service as we continue to expand our offering into new markets.”
The Export Industry Awards are organised by the Irish Exporters Association (IEA) to recognise the remarkable achievements of companies working in the export industry. The awards acclaim all export industry sectors recognising emerging exporters as well as established indigenous exporters of manufactured goods and services, and onward to the big hitting multinational exporters.
There are eleven categories in all, and Wisetek competed against four other Irish companies to claim the Services Exporter of the Year award, a category sponsored by Trinity Business School and The Irish Exporters Association.
