Dublin, 10th October, 2016: Cork-based Wisetek, a global provider of secure data-elimination and responsible IT recycling services to the world’s leading IT companies, has today announced the opening of its first secure operations facility in Dublin. Located adjoining the M50 in West Dublin, the operation will provide the entire range of Wisetek services, for the secure, environmentally friendly and efficient financial management of client used IT infrastructure equipment, to the rapidly expanding Dublin data centre sector.
As part of its expansion, the company has announced the creation of a further 20 new jobs, to be located both in Dublin and at its extensive re-manufacturing facility in Cork.
Commenting on the opening of the Dublin depot, Sean Sheehan, CEO of Wisetek, pictured above, said: “There is a significant and growing cluster of data centres in Dublin which has become a hub for global data centre operators. Our existing Dublin customers and other companies are increasingly seeking global services solutions, for the optimum management of their used IT infrastructure systems, to ensure that they achieve global standards for data security, financial recovery and full assurance that their used IT systems are being processed to their highest environmental standards. Wisetek currently has operations in the USA, Asia and EMEA regions and we are delighted to add Dublin to our expanding global footprint.”
Wisetek provides IT security, through its extensive “track and trace” reporting on data erasure and/or destruction and the processing of all related materials from used systems.
The company’s innovative “Recovery for Reuse” process leverages its experience, gained from working closely with the world’s leading IT manufacturers, to generate optimal financial recovery on clients behalf, whilst ensuring their used IT systems are securely processed to the highest environmental standards. It is a service that ensures that both the IT manufacturer and datacentre customers can have confidence that their used IT systems are processed to their environmental standards whilst recovering optimal financial returns.
