Speaking of their win Peter Coppinger Co-founder of Teamwork.com said,
“We’re humbled to be named tech persons of the year by it@Cork, especially when there are so many worthy contenders for this award. There’s something special about receiving an award in our home town where the Teamwork journey first began and continues to prosper today. We’re very grateful to it@Cork for this acknowledgement and for the important work they do in promoting the IT space in Cork.”
Daniel Mackey, Teamwork.com co-founder also commented:
“Thank you to the team at it@Cork for this award. It’s a very proud moment for us to be named Tech Persons of the Year and it’s a great way to mark the 10th anniversary of Teamwork.com. It’s been a fantastic experience to start this business from Cork and we’re excited to continue growing our business from here. We’re looking forward to celebrating this win with our team who have helped us achieve our success to date.”
Caroline O’Driscoll, Chairperson of it@cork congratulated all those who took part in the awards,
“Peter and Dan are incredible entrepreneurs and should be immensely proud of all they have achieved to date as they celebrate 10 years at Teamwork. We greatly admire their courage, fortitude and can do attitude in building a global business from their base in Cork. They think big, dream global, lead by example, but stay close their roots and have always remained their authentic selves. Through drive, determination and an unwavering passion for what they do, they have built a business from scratch and brought it to a level that proves that they are a force to be reckoned with.
I’d also like to congratulate the winners of the other 6 categories. The standard of applicants was so high this year, that to have been chosen above others in each category is a triumph in itself. The work that these companies and schools do is outstanding… they are a driving force behind tech not just in Cork but in Ireland, and even globally. Their ambition is what propels the industry forward and makes me excited about the possibilities for tomorrow”.
