Once again thanks to the guys at climote who put forward this excellent prize and thanks to everyone who took part. Stay tuned for the Week 2 competition coming soon.

Earlier today we announced overall details of our fantastic giveaway. We’ve reached 5000 followers on Twitter and to celebrate we want to give something back to you!

We’ll be running a competition every week, for the next 3 weeks but to kick things off, our Week 1 competition is for the climote Hub, fully installed in your home.

With climote, you can control your home heating from anywhere. Whatever the weather or wherever you are, you can arrive home to a warm house. Whatever way your day works out, you can reset, boost your heating or even turn on your hot water – from anywhere, all while saving up to 20% of your energy costs.

If you win this prize, the climote HUB will be installed in your home and you can download a free App to enable you to control it remotely from your Smartphone or iPad. The climote installer will then give you a full demonstration on how to programme your new climote HUB and how to use the App, Online & SMS services.

We’ve recently featured climote in our Business Showcase section. You can read all about this great Irish company and their products here.

To be in with a chance of winning this exceptional prize, you need to be following @Irish_TechNews on Twitter and you need to ReTweet the following tweet when we send it out during the week

The competition will run for 1 week from today and is only open to people with an address in Ireland. A winner will be picked at random from all the valid entries next week after this competition closes.

Thanks to all our readers and followers for your continued support and thanks to climote for supplying us with such an excellent prize.
