Webinar: Strategies for secure IT and Data Retirement

Asset Management Ireland (AMI) and the Asset Disposal & Information Security Alliance (ADISA) will host a webinar entitled: “How to manage risk and regulatory compliance when retiring ICT Assets – Strategies for secure IT and Data Retirement” on December 5th at 11am.

With European data protection regulations set to change, the clamour for businesses to ensure compliance is reaching fever pitch. However, the often vague and generic nature of many of the terms in existing legislation means that it is not always clear how a business needs to be positioned in order to prove compliance. This webinar looks at one area of the data protection supply chain that is often neglected and causes confusion – ICT disposal.

In this webinar, Steve Mellings, founder of the ADISA IT Asset Disposal Standard will explore and review the key stages of ICT disposal and identify how internal and external risk should be managed. The webinar will conclude with a comprehensive five-step approach to creating a secure IT asset disposal process.
