Vodafone Ireland has today launched the new Vodafone Repair Lab, the nation’s first online phone repair service, in partnership with Fonfix.
Available nationwide, the Vodafone Repair Lab caters to all smartphone users, not just Vodafone customers, and will provide a phone repair service like no other.
Whether it’s a smashed screen, issues with software, battery, audio or button issues, Vodafone Ireland will be on hand to repair customers’ phones in record time with same-day delivery service available in Galway city, Cork city, and Co. Dublin where our existing Vodafone Repair Lab stores are located, and next-day return to the rest of Ireland.
The Vodafone Repair Lab website will give customers access to an online repairs service catering to all repair needs. Customers will be able to arrange for the collection and delivery of their repaired device to their chosen address across the country.
The website can also be used to check if their phone is in warranty, which will entitle them to a fault-repair free of charge! Alternatively, customers can drop their device into a Vodafone Repair Lab store and have it repaired on-site, in 3 hours.
The newly launched online Vodafone Repair Lab offers ease of access with the same premium service, as users can now pay, schedule, and arrange delivery all at the click of a button.
The Vodafone Repair Lab is available to users from any network and the service costs between €30 – €299 depending on make and model for issues including broken screens, software issues, and battery or audio faults. Following the repair, customers will receive a 12-month guarantee on the repair.
The introduction of online repair services means that customers can reduce wastage and carbon emissions by repairing a smartphone rather than purchasing a new device, customers also have the option to trade in older devices for Vodafone store credit.
In 2022, Vodafone Ireland will introduce the Eco-SIM, SIM cards made entirely from recyclable plastic.
Jean-Christophe Langer, Head of Devices, Vodafone Ireland said: “Vodafone is proud to offer the Vodafone Repair Lab, a first of its kind in Ireland, as we truly believe in the value of a premium repair service which customers can now access with the ease of an online platform.
“We hope this will be a solution for smartphone users who may not be able to access their local Vodafone Repair Lab in-store, or who simply do not have the time to drop off and collect their device.
“We recently announced that Vodafone Ireland is now 100% powered by electricity from renewable sources and we are committed to helping our customers reduce their own environmental footprint and continuing to build an inclusive and sustainable digital society here in Ireland and across all our markets.
“Giving customers the option to choose to repair or trade-in their device rather than purchasing a new model may seem like a small step but our collective actions can make a difference.”
