From today, Virgin Media’s Horizon TV customers can enjoy new Replay TV and Startover features, free of charge. Replay TV allows Horizon TV customers scroll back through their on-screen TV guide for a full seven days of replay on their favourite programmes.
With the new Startover function, also launching today, Horizon TV viewers who miss the start of a show can select a ‘Play from Start’ option and the programme will automatically replay from the beginning.
Initially, 26 channels will be available including RTÉ One, RTÉ2, TV3, 3e, UTV Ireland, BT Sports, Setanta, MTV, Disney and Nickelodeon, and more will be added over the coming months.
Bill Blake, Virgin Media’s Head of Commercial and Products said, “At Virgin Media we promised to bring the magic to our Irish customers and a delighted to bring these brilliant new services to our Horizon TV customers in time for Christmas for no extra charge.
“We’re really pleased to give our customers the power to never have to worry if they miss their favourite show or movie as they’ll have up to seven days to catch up with Replay TV, free of charge. And with Startover, there’s no need to rush if you miss the start of a programme. You can still record 4 channels at the same time, so it’s a complete gift for Christmas!”
“Not only are these features a first for our customers, Virgin Media are the first company to offer Replay TV and Startover in Ireland. This is only the beginning and we’ll be constantly adding new channels.”
