Virgin Media Business launch new broadband plans

Virgin Media Business today launched a new range of broadband and phone offers for start-ups and SMEs with broadband speeds of 100, 200, 300 and 400 Mbps available. The four new broadband and phone service bundles include telephone services with calls included and no line rental fee. (Please see table below)

Gavan Smyth, Vice President of Virgin Media Business said, “At Virgin we believe your broadband should work as hard as you, helping you to grow your business and reducing your overall costs of operation. As one of the largest B2B telecommunications providers, our extensive fibre network enables superfast broadband speeds and we’re able to tailor the most competitive offers and services for businesses of all sizes. SMEs make up a large part of the economy and we need to support them as they grow. We’re doing that by enabling them to digitise their offering to provide even better services to their customers.”

Research carried out for Virgin Media Ireland by Amárach Research shows that almost three-quarters (74%) of SMEs now have a business website. Of these, 36% are e-commerce enabled. That means that 27% of Irish SMEs are now engaging in e-commerce compared to the EU average of around 18%.

“It’s clear that Irish businesses are recognising the value of an online presence as well as the e-commerce channel”, said Gavan Smyth. “At Virgin Media, we’re committed to supporting Irish businesses so that they can maximise their digital business potential.”
