UXDX returns, October 6th – 9th, 2020

When and where is it on?

UXDX, the Irish-owned, fastest growing conference on Product in Europe, is taking place virtually on October 6th – 9th 2020.

How many years has it been going?

Now in its 5th year, the popular event gathers over 2,000 CTOs, CIOs, product managers, UX researchers, designers and developers together to share best practices on how teams adopt and change to improve product delivery in organisations.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

The UXDX Conference has worked to offer participants what physical events can’t, to give attendees more control. It is releasing 10 talks ‘Netflix-style’ each night for attendees to watch in their own time. This allows participants to get more involved in the interactive speaker sessions and workshops, where they can get answers to their burning questions and hone their skills.

UXDX is facilitating easier networking, through curated ‘Birds of a Feather’ sessions and relevant 1-on-1’s, taking away the challenge of seeking out people with similar interests. To wrap it up the UXDX Conference has dedicated its fourth day to workshops and conversations, giving attendees the time to talk about what they have learned over the previous days.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

Up to 70% of companies will fail in their digital transformation efforts. This year, the team behind UXDX will provide a Continuous Learning programme for the 12 months following the conference with the aim to motivate people throughout the year and help teams follow through on their change initiatives while providing with tools and resources to assist with digital transformation journeys and company product goals.

Since 2018, the UXDX community has run 30 global events, primarily in Europe and recently branching out to the US. Over 5,000 people have taken part in these mini-conferences focussing on city and region-specific success stories to help companies improve processes to accelerate product success.

The programme will run on a monthly basis and will focus on the theme of ‘Transformation’ throughout the year due to the ever-changing challenges facing companies.

The monthly workshops will focus on the three main categories that drive actions within organisations: People, Processes and Tools.

Who will be speaking?

Some of the top speakers include:

Jeff Gothelf, Author of Lean UX and new book Forever Employable

Lowell Goss, Head of Design & UX, Reddit

Benoit Tepereau, VP of Product, Deezer

Jeff Patton, Founder, JP Associates & Author of User Story Mapping

Audrey Tsang, Chief Product Officer, Clue

Peter Wang, CTO, Buzzfeed

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Prep in advance: Use the custom agenda tool to create your must-have wish list to get the most out of the debates and interactive sessions. Don’t worry about missing other sessions, videos will be ‘on-demand’, so you can revert back to those you missed after the conference for up to 6 months.

Set learning goals: Prepare three learning goals for the conference and use these to leverage the 1,500+ audience in attendance to improve your knowledge through our UXDX Community on Slack, 1-1 sessions and workshops.
