Trustap and DoneDeal's new Reserve Online service..
With consumers increasingly seeking out online transaction options, the motor industry has lagged adoption – until now. Through this evolutionary partnership, Trustap and DoneDeal make car buying safer, simpler and more secure. With Reserve Online consumers can reserve their desired car online for up to 5 days, from as little as €149, giving buyers time to arrange a viewing and speak with a dealership or seller to learn more about the car.
Should the buyer proceed to purchase the car, the amount paid will be deducted from the final cost. Throughout the process, Trustap securely hold and manage the transaction. Should a buyer decide not to proceed with their purchase, they will be refunded their full reservation amount.
“This is a big leap forward for Irish car buyers and dealers,” said Eoin Lally, Trustap’s Director of Strategy: Motors. “We’re giving buyers the confidence to act fast and secure the car they want through DoneDeal’s Reserve Online tool, safe in the knowledge that they can obtain a full refund should they not proceed. This technology also gives dealerships peace of mind, knowing that they’re dealing with serious buyers, supporting a secure and transparent sale.”?
