TechChill has grown from a small event gathering a couple of hundreds of enthusiasts into an event attracting more than 2000 attendees from all over the world. Startup founders and ecosystem representatives, industry experts, investors, students and media will all come together in the beautiful VEF Culture Palace. The two-day agenda will see 100 speakers from different regions share their experiences, discuss topics of local and global importance, talk startup world and tech trends and look into the future of the industry. This year TechChill will focus on the human side of tech – from robotics and AI social integration to technology solving global problems to mental health in the startup and tech world. Alongside the diverse conference agenda, TechChill will host more than 20 side events – investor breakfast, Riga Venture Summit, Baltic Welcome Reception and more.

TechChill is special because it is here in the heart of Baltics that the conference season kick-starts for both us and the attendees from all over the world. We are happy to host world-known speakers, entrepreneurs, investors and industry representatives. Once TechChill was of interest only to a couple of hundred regional enthusiasts but now we have guests coming from as far as Mexico and the US. It means that we are also bringing Latvia’s name out into the world. For us it is a great honour,” says Kristine Kornilova, CEO of TechChill.

Representatives from globally recognizable companies like Twitter, Google, Uber, Fitbit and others are among the speakers taking the stage this year. Broadly represented are also the regional startup success stories – Vinted, Funderbeam, Testlio. Latvian startups like Aerones (just secured €2 million investment), TestDevLab, Giraffe360 (€1 million in investments), as well as one of the best known Latvian international startup successes, Printful, are proudly standing next to their international counterparts.

TechChill is not TechChill without its Fifty Founders Battle, a startup pitching competition. On the first day, fifty of the most promising startups will pitch their idea in one of the five verticals – fintech, deep-tech, SaaS, internet-of-things and impact. The international jury will choose five most promising teams (one per vertical) who will get a chance to take the Superhero stage and compete for the ultimate prize – 10,000 euros, no strings attached.

TechChill was first organized eight years ago by the founders of TechHub Riga startup community. Today it is one of the most prominent European-level industry events and brings Latvia to the international investors and media attention.
