Eventbrite has announced they will open a new customer support centre in Cork. Eventbrite will open the office with about 15 full time customer support staff which could grow to 50 employees over the next three years. The company plans to hire employees who speak various languages (including German, Dutch, Italian, French and English) to support the growing roster of customers around the world. Open positions can be found on eventbritecareers.com/ireland. Eventbrite is currently looking for a suitable location for the new office in Cork city.

“Helping our organisers run successful events lies at the heart of our company, and our global 24/7 customer support team is crucial in providing this support,” said Joel Crouch, Eventbrite’s General Manager for both Ireland and the UK. “When we looked for a home for our growing customer support team in Europe, we searched for a place with easy access to great talent, while also affording our team members a high quality of life. That’s what we found in Cork.”

In cooperation with Eventbrite’s international network of customer support centres in San Francisco, Nashville and Mendoza, the new presence in Cork will serve event organisers around the world with 24/7 support. The Cork presence will be Eventbrite’s tenth office worldwide and the company’s second in Ireland.

Founded with the mission to democratise the ticketing industry, Eventbrite has processed over $5 billion (around €4.5bn) in gross ticket sales for customers around the globe. In 2015 alone, Eventbrite supported millions of events in 180 countries, and processed over 100 million tickets.
