After many delays, Three have finally announced today that their 4G service will go live on January 27. Both Bill Pay and Prepay customers can avail of the new services for free for 6 months. After that, 4G will be available as a €4.99 per month add on.
Customers will need to have a 4G ready phone. The list of compatible phones that Three have on offer at present are:
All Three customers with compatible phones will be able to avail of 4G after a software update, without changing their tariff or SIM, subject to coverage. At launch the software updates will be available for the iPhone 5/5C/5S, the Samsung S4/S4 Mini and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Further updates for other devices are promised for later in February.
