ThousandEyes, the network intelligence company that provides visibility into the Internet, cloud and every network that companies run on, yesterday announced the company’s expansion into Ireland with the opening of a sales and services office in Dublin.
ThousandEyes also announced the appointment of Orla Moran as the Senior Director of Inside Sales in EMEA. Moran will be located in the Dublin office and brings extensive industry experience to the ThousandEyes team to build and expand the company’s sales presence throughout Ireland and Europe.
ThousandEyes is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
Welcoming the announcement, Ireland Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys said, “I warmly welcome the decision by ThousandEyes to invest in Dublin. We already have a strong hub of Information & Communications Technology (ICT) companies here and this announcement reaffirms our reputation as a highly attractive location for this sector. We have been working to expand our footprint in cloud computing and ThousandEyes’ arrival here is a great vote of confidence in what we have been doing in this area.”
“Over the last 12 months, we have seen an unbelievable increase in demand for our technology by large enterprise customers in EMEA whose dependence on hybrid environments and the Internet is ever increasing,” said Mohit Lad, co-founder and CEO of ThousandEyes. “In addition to our existing presence in London, we are excited to build a key hub for ThousandEyes in Dublin and leverage the infrastructure and talent pool in Ireland in order to scale our broader EMEA operations.”
Mary Buckley, Executive Director of IDA Ireland said, “I recently met with co-founder and CEO Mohit Lad at the company’s HQ in San Francisco where we discussed his plans for the international expansion of ThousandEyes. The new Dublin office will be an important centre to grow and serve their customer base within EMEA.”
According to Gartner research, in 2019, “cloud, security and the move to digital business to bolster growth in EMEA. End-user spending on public cloud services in EMEA will grow 15 percent in 2019 to total $38.5 billion.” Gartner also predicts overall IT spending in EMEA to increase in 2019.
With the new ThousandEyes office in Ireland, the company expands its global presence, with offices in San Francisco (HQ), Austin, London, New York, Tokyo, and now Dublin.
