In his own words the book ” is all about understanding what makes a successful entrepreneur, and the importance of doing what you love. I share with you how doing what I love has bettered me as a business owner, and we give you an in-book worksheet so you can become the most successful you.” Digital transformation is certainly an important and relevant goal to consider if you are looking to position yourself to ensure you have an engaged and meaningful working career ahead of you. The world is changing quickly, there is still a lot of work out there, but you may need to re-brand and reorientate yourself to ensure that you are in the right place to secure it.
It reads easily and has good insights into approaches and ideas that could help you to rebrand and reposition what you have to offer. Occasionally at times it did feel like the book was also a PR piece for the author, which on one hand makes complete sense, but for our taste could have been a little less explicit. On the other hand, he works hard to deliver value and Chapter 2 illustrates this. “What is the end goal for your business? Where do you and your business want to be in three years? Perhaps more importantly right now; where do you see your role in your business in the next 12 months? I asked myself that exact question when I wrote the first edition of this book, and everything I visualised and put on my vision board has come true, and actually turned out better than I could have imagined.”
Overall it is a useful and helpful book. There are a lot of good insights in it, and smart observations based on having dealt with people repeatedly and all of their idiosyncrasies which will remain important for as long as humans have to buy from humans.
