The Interconnected Era – Equinix Help Shape your digital transformation strategy

Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the global interconnection and data centre company, will host an event at 14:00 on Thursday, 28th June in Quay 14, Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin 1 to advise Irish companies on how to digitally transform their business to remain competitive.

Digital is disrupting the business world and driving increased need for collaboration. Businesses, partners and end users are becoming more reliant on one another and their respective services. To keep pace with the competition, organisations need to be more agile and innovative than ever before. The interconnected era is born out of this rising demand for connectivity, as businesses become increasingly interdependent and cloud-enabled.

At this event, Equinix will provide attendees with insights into how leveraging interconnection can drive business success. As increasing numbers of organisations turn to the cloud to enable modern working practices such as remote working and Internet of Things (IoT) functionality, interconnection becomes a key value add. Cloud is critical to business digitisation and interconnection is a key enabler to cloud success. Equinix’s development of a globally consistent platform enables companies to directly connect with global digital service providers, leveraging advanced solutions from Google, Amazon, Microsoft and other leading brands.

Attendees of this event will hear from Maurice Mortell, Equinix managing director for Ireland and emerging markets, and Charles Meyers, president of services, strategy and innovation, Equinix, on how interconnection is fuelling the explosion of the digital economy and changing the face of traditional IT infrastructure. In addition, a panel of industry experts will discuss how success in today’s economy will require companies to embrace increased connectivity. Members of this panel will include John Asher, VP of sales, iguazio; Nicolas Roger, senior manager, solutions architects, Equinix; Nameer Kazzaz, group CTO, Blueface; and John Abel, head of technology and cloud for UK, Ireland, and Israel, Oracle. A number of Equinix’s customers will also outline how availing of interconnection has enabled continued business growth.

Finally, leading provider of manged IT services, Evros, will lead a discussion focusing on a customer’s successful digital transformation journey and how leveraging Equinix’s platform was fundamental to this process.

The presentations will be followed by a barbecue and drinks reception where attendees will have the opportunity to network with Equinix executives and other business-owners and industry figures. Admission to the event is free. For more information and to register, please visit here
