The Dark Net explored, book launch of Killed in, Ashley Boolell, Tuesday, 30th, January

When and where is it on?

Tuesday the 30th of January at the Eight Club in Moorgate. Arrival at 6.30 pm for start at 7 pm.

How many years has it been going?

This is the first book event in London organised by Ashley Boolell who is a banker and writer. Details of his work can be found on the following website: www.ashleyboolell.com. The author has published four novels. He has the distinctive feature of being perfectly bilingual in English and French. This makes it possible for him to create and write in both languages.

What was the inspiration to start it?

The release of his fourth novel, ‘Killed In’, that was inspired by the Dark Net. The author first learned about this fascinating phenomenon while attending a conference at Chatham House, the Think Tank based in London. Intrigued, he delved deeper into the subject, and soon realised that no novel based on the Deep Web had ever been written. He filled the gap by imagining the character of Chris Kord; the anti hero of ‘Killed In’.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Ashley Boolell will talk about the process that he goes through to write a novel. He will describe the inspiration and challenges that are part of the writing journey. This is meant to help aspiring novelists looking to publish their first book. The author is convinced that the present era offers incredible opportunities for writers. The playing field is bigger, more dynamic, and allows an infinitely greater number of artists to join the game.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

Attendees will discover the world of ‘Killed In’ and how the novelist created it. Several influences contributed to its creation. The author explains them in the following video: https://youtu.be/BLorLCprBgw. He will expand further on those influences by interacting with the audience. Ashley will sign copies of his novel at the end of the event.
