Tesco Mobile Ireland Reaches 250,000th Customer

Tesco Mobile Ireland (TMI) today announced that it now has more than 250,000 customers, which amounts to a customer base growth of over 50,000 customers in just one year. The latest report from ComReg also shows that TMI’s market share has grown to 5%, up from 4.3% from the same time last year.

Tesco Mobile Ireland, Managing Director, Elaine Russell. Elaine said, “Reaching our 250,000th customer is a real milestone for Tesco Mobile and is a clear indication that the brand is gaining confidence and momentum in Ireland. Our commitment to providing customers with great value without compromise is being recognised and we are confident we will continue with this growth supported by our Tesco Phone Shop expansion. In the last 12 months 13 dedicated Phone Shops have opened within Tesco stores, bringing to 19 the total number of Tesco Phone Shops across the country. By the end of 2014 we will have 20 phone shops in Tesco stores and this investment is delivering 15 new jobs.”

We have worked hard to ensure our range of offers suit every member of the family, from half price smartphones for back to school and college to our new SIM only offer which gives all calls, texts and data for just €25 per month on just a 30-day contract. Our focus is on delivering market leading value to customers,” Elaine added.

TMI, a joint venture between Tesco and Three, will have 20 phone shops in Tesco stores by the end of 2014 and an online store that allows customers to top up, upgrade and access customer care. For more details go to tescomobile.ie
