This Thursday, April 19, IDA Ireland will host an event designed to promote the growing number of tech roles available in County Sligo. Companies such as Shopify, Overstock and LiveTiles have already expanded their tech teams to the north-west county in the areas of machine learning, artificial intelligence and customer success.

Beginning at 7:30 the event will feature speakers such as Elaine Murphy from LiveTiles, David Kenny from Overstock and Luke Cassidy from Shopify. These business leaders will outline their respective plans and associated roles to be located in the Sligo region.

The event will afford local tech talent the opportunity to hear it from those leading the way all while networking with their peers. Tickets are free but limited and for those not lucky enough get a ticket or unable to be in Sligo IDA Ireland are live streaming the event via Facebook also.

Allan Mulrooney, a representative of IDA Ireland, said: “What I’ve realised since moving back is that the work life balance proposition in the Sligo region is simply exceptional. Companies visiting via IDA Ireland are now looking at the north-west as a great option and we believe we are going to have some more success in the near future.”
