Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading provider of global IT services, consulting and business solutions in Ireland, has been recognised as one of the Top Regarded Companies and one of the World’s Best Employers in the Forbes 2017 Global 2000 list.

Based on the 2017 Global 2000 list of the world’s biggest public companies published by Forbes earlier this year, Forbes Media and Statista Inc have recently published smaller lists of the best performing companies under different categories based on global polls.

To identify the Top Regarded Companies, some 15,000 respondents from 60 countries were polled online to evaluate the Global 2000 companies’ reputation along four dimensions: Trustworthiness / Honesty, Social Conduct, Company as an Employer and Performance of the Product / Services.

TCS was among the companies receiving the highest total scores in that poll, ranked in the top 4 globally in the Computer Services industry.

TCS was also named as one of the Global 2000 – World’s Best Employers. The list was compiled by analysing over 360,000 global recommendations collected through a global poll and different regional surveys wherein employees were asked to rate their own employer (internal perception) as well as recommend other employers (public perception).

Being part of the Tata group and guided by the Tata Code of Conduct, TCS has sought to uphold the highest levels of transparency, fairness and ethical behaviour in all its dealings, resulting in a very high level of trust among all stakeholders. TCS’ investments as well as the volunteering effort put in by TCS’ employees in various social initiatives across the world have won global recognition and created immense goodwill in every community the company touches.

In recent months, TCS was listed in Fortune magazine’s Change the World 50 list of companies that have had a positive social impact through activities which are part of their core business strategy. In addition, TCS has been recognized as the Global Top Employer across 27 countries.

In welcoming the announcements, Venkatesh Priyadarshi, Head of Ireland Operations and Business Development, TCS, said: “TCS Ireland has developed a strong track record of investing in our local team and inspiring the next generation of tech leaders. Our graduate programme is one such positive example of TCS bringing new talent to the heart of our business. Employee-friendly HR policies together with our strong links with the local community form the foundation of our success. Being recognised among the top brands in the IT services industry globally validates the strong reputation we have built up over the years by doing the right thing for all our stakeholders.”

Having first established an office in Dublin in 2001, TCS has significantly grown its operations and customer base in Ireland. In 2012, the company established a major cluster of its Supply Chain Centre of Excellence in the capital, helping clients across the globe optimise their supply chains and invest in research on next generation supply chain frameworks.
