TCL Introduces 5G CPE to Bring Ultra-Fast Connectivity to More Households

TCL, one of the best-selling consumer electronics brands and leading technology companies, today announced its new TCL LINKHUB 5G outdoor CPE, designed to help carriers bring ultra-fast connectivity to consumers in more rural and suburban areas.

The unit forms a crucial part of TCL’s “5G for All” initiative, launched at Mobile World Congress 2021, which includes a range of devices that will help bring 5G to every area of consumers’ lives.

New 5G Outdoor CPE

The TCL LINKHUB 5G outdoor CPE will use integrated, high-gain antennas to pick up the best 5G signals across all bands. This makes it ideal for people who live in areas with fewer base stations, helping operators to grow their 5G subscriptions.

By simply inserting a 5G SIM card into their unit, users will have access to download speeds of up to 4.67Gbps over sub-6GHz transmission. It also supports both SA (standalone) and NSA (non-standalone) networks, making it ideal for either 4G or 5G core systems.

As a flexible, cost-effective last-mile solution, operators will see quick return on investment for the new CPE. The unit can be pole- or wall-mounted for a range of installation options, and is designed to withstand all types of weather, with IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof housing, lightning protection and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +55°C.

“Our new 5G outdoor CPE is a perfect demonstration of TCL’s commitment to enhance 5G connectivity and make it a reality for everyone,” said Stefan Streit, Chief Marketing Officer at TCL Communication.

Streit: “We’ve been working on technologies that address every link in the 5G chain since 2015, when we first demonstrated a 5G end-to-end solution. Our goal is to deliver 5G for all, so that each of us can enjoy fastest connectivity.”

Coming Soon: Ultra-Fast Indoor CPE

TCL will also soon unveil a high-speed indoor router, designed to deliver both 5G and 4G technologies to multiple devices in a smart home or office.

New 4G CPE

While continuing to push the field of 5G, TCL has also launched a new 4G outdoor CPE. The LINKHUB LTE Cat12 outdoor CPE will enable download speeds of up to 600Mbps for consumers in areas with lower base station density. Boasting IP67-rated housing and installation flexibility, the 4G CPE will enable operators the opportunity to deliver faster connectivity to areas where 5G isn’t yet achievable.

TCL has invested more than $1 billion in R&D, including the creation of dedicated 5G labs. Through partnerships with more than 80 carriers in 160 countries, TCL is delivering on its mission to provide lightning fast, affordable and reliable 5G for everyone to enjoy a smarter home and life.
