The SX21 is an online 3-day event and connects the greatest minds from industry champions, to the academic sector to collaborate.

The summit aims through these collaborations each participant can share, learn and create for the long-term benefit of society and the planet.

The event itself will include two stages of keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, spoken word performances, and live music.

What was the inspiration to start it?

Gavin Downes from Neon Agency:

While a key part of the reasoning behind SX21 was the opportunity to disrupt the sustainable events sector and do something really exciting in order to bridge the gap between youth, activists, not for profit and the corporate world, the truth for inspiration SX21 lies in nature.

Having been fortunate enough to have traveled to many beautiful parts of this wonderful planet, I’ve seen first-hand the effects of pollution in our seas and across lands, the harsh reality of climate change, and the very nature of a consumption-centric economy that is not sustainable.

I’ve realised that new models, approaches, and ways of thinking are required to solve this problem and there are some amazing people out there walking the walk and driving real change.

I also couldn’t look my children in the eye in the years to come and standby saying I did nothing to stop this, while at times it may feel like a problem for them over in a far-off country, we need to realise that this is real and right on our doorstep.

The change required to drive this monumental shift will come from every one of us; in how we think, act, talk and the decisions we make every single day.

There is a fantastic sense of power in that, and it feels like a great awakening is coming.

Things to Look Forward to at SX21

Emma O’ Farrell from Neon Agency:

At SX21, content is king and we want to unite the greatest minds across the world of sustainability.

We want attendees to enjoy the event no matter where they are on their sustainable journey- everyone is welcome.

Apart from the incredible line-up of speakers we have, there will be live music, spoken word, innovative evening experiences, morning yoga, sustainable lunch demos with superstar chefs, panel discussions, and TedX style talks.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

As SX21 is a 3-day online broadcast event for this year, there are great opportunities to experience SX21 from the comfort of your couch.

We’re bringing leading experts from across the world of Sustainability – Business Leaders, Social Purpose Champions, and International Policy Makers to Climate Activists, Maverick Game Changers, and Creative Pioneers that are truly disrupting their industries.

With our chosen online platform, there will also be great AI lead generation and networking.

Who will be speaking?

We value diversity and inclusivity, and we want this event to be both inspirational and educational.

We’re bringing together a lot of strong, inspiring female speakers to ensure there is a well-balanced gender mix at the event., in addition, we want to bring youth and vibrancy to SX21 to bridge the gap between generations.
