Startup Sting joins the world’s largest social network for climate action to gather the best climate ideas.
Startup accelerator Sting (Stockholm Innovation & Growth) is pleased to announce that they have partnered up with climate action social network We Don’t Have Time to find climate ideas for their newest startup program ‘Startup Climate Action’, where We Don’t Have Time now becomes a supporting partner to.
Startup Climate Action, led by Sting together with the Norrsken Foundation, presents 13 Climate Challenges from 13 renowned Swedish ‘Climate Champions’.
By submitting new startup ideas to solve these challenges, participants have a chance of getting full support to realize the idea and increase its chances of success and impact.
The goal of the initiative is to create more rapidly growing companies that bring innovative, scalable solutions to combat climate change, and the project runners hope that it will make Sweden the global center for climate action startups.
“We are excited about collaborating with We Don’t Have Time. We share the same goal and through the vast social climate network of We Don’t Have Time we will reach new groups that we hope will bring many new ideas that can be turned into rapidly scalable climate action startups.”, says Karin Ruiz, deputy CEO of Sting and project lead for Startup Climate Action.
In order to find the best climate action startups for the program, Sting needs to find the best climate ideas.
Through its partnership with We Don’t Have Time, Sting has access to a global network of climate-aware people that suggest new ideas and give support to ideas with high potential impact.
We Don’t Have Time has also announced a 5000 EUR grant for the best climate idea on their platform, giving financial support to implement the idea — a grant which would be a perfect way to start a new climate startup. Read more about the grant here.
Ingmar Rentzhog, Founder and CEO of We Don’t Have Time, says “As a social network for climate action, we are excited to support the Startup Climate Action initiative. We see great potential in giving support and resources to new ideas to solve existing climate issues, and connecting people that translate ideas into action is what We Don’t Have Time is all about. We look forward to seeing the solutions that come out of this partnership come to fruition!”
Anyone can access Startup Climate Action’s Climate Dialogue page, where updates about the program will be gathered and where anyone can make their voice heard and agree to ideas that they like.
Do you have a great idea for a climate startup? Click here and make it known and get a chance to see it come to life! Call closes on August 2nd.
