When was the company launched and where are you based?
The company was launched 3 weeks ago, Sep 2016. We are in the early stage of development however we have over 5 and a half years experience working with international freelancers working in Ireland. We provide an online service however we also meet with some of our clients in Dublin.
Who are your target market?
Our target market are freelancers, predominantly in the tech space looking for opportunities in the Silicon Docks and surrounding areas. Ireland is a magnet for multinational and start-up tech companies with so many of the biggest players located our country, even with these amazing opportunities it has proven difficult to attract skilled people to relocate to Ireland because of uncertainty and lack of information on what it is actually like to work and live in Ireland as a freelancer, our mission is to help these people make a more informed decision before they make the move.

How are you different?
Having worked with accountants and recruitment agencies for the last 5 years, I saw a gap in the market for this type of specialist freelancer advisory service. We provide informative content at a very early stage of the process, usually a freelancer will engage with the likes of a recruitment agency or project manager for opportunities in Ireland, the problem with this is that the information the freelancer receives can be biased and rushed due to the speed in which the contract needs to be closed. Engaging in our service will empower the freelancer to make a more informed decision at an earlier stage in the process. We usually speak with people that have yet to secure a freelance opportunity, so they have plenty of time to make a better decision,
What are you long term plans for your product / company?
Our long term plan is to increase the awareness of the benefits of working in Ireland as an IT freelancer, the skills shortage within the tech space has been and continues to be a huge challenge for tech companies in Ireland, if we as a country want to remain the main tech hub outside Silicon Valley we need to grow the awareness of these opportunities to people abroad as local talent is already strained, we hope that our service will attract freelancers that have not previously considered Ireland as a place to provide their services.
