Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Appthat2 is an app development and marketing solutions business based on the north side of Dublin. We serve the domestic market here in Ireland and we have also been successful in the international market space with a number of very prestigious accounts. Our prime mission is development and supply of apps and content in real time.

We are a technology partner to the European Space Agency and the European Commission and we are supported by Enterprise Ireland.

How are you different?

In conjunction with the European Space Agency, (ESA) we have developed  technology platforms  that allows apps to be developed at a fraction of the cost of mobile service providers. To date we have been 70% cheaper than competitive offerings and we can deliver a prototype literally in a matter of hours, with a fully functional app for the app stores in a number of days.

We also have technology instruments for the marketplace that can guarantee up to 30,000 downloads in a matter of weeks. These downloads are then available for the customer to target for marketing.

Added to the technology platforms we have, we also provide marketing solutions to our customers. We work with our customer to ensure that the app gets maximum exposure in the marketplace and our marketing solution is concentrated on getting more business for our own customers.

Why will the company / product do well?

The technology on offer delivers deployed apps directly to the customer’s phone in a matter of hours. On review the customer can then make changes before loading the app to the stores.

Technology in real time is an essential feature of the digital transformation of a business. For instance, if a small fashion house builds an app for its spring collection, the app will have to be updated for its summer collection. Market charges for this activity are at least 30% of the original cost with a timeline of at least 10 days. With the appthat2, the delivery is most likely the same day with a fixed charge for the update.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

The biggest win to date has been the project won with the European Space Agency. This was a milestone in the company’s development. Other notable wins were supply of the adapted technology to a major financial services business in Dublin and an ‘internet of things’ project with the European Commission.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Because of the business model we have developed, we can serve all businesses from small local business to large international enterprises. The flexibility of the technology makes it a low risk assignment for the customer

Tell us about your team?

The team consists of primarily software engineers and marketing /sales specialists. Because we operate in the international market space, we also partners who we call on for support as the needs arises.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

To be the best at what we do and to ensure that our customers increase their business because of our technology

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?
