On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Michelin starred restaurant Nectari has just presented its first vegetarian menu, the Heura Menú by Nectari. Aware that the inclusion of plant based meat in the menus is the most efficient way to reduce the environmental impact of our food, the Barcelona-based chef Jordi Esteve has decided to innovate with Heura.
Nectari and Heura share the same philosophy. Lovers of Mediterranean haute cuisine, they are committed to the combination of innovation and tradition. Their love for food is reflected in the quality of the products and the recipes maintain the essence of our culinary heritage; advancing hand in hand with innovation for a more sustainable food system.
The quality of the product is its leitmotiv in the kitchen and this is evident in the dishes of Nectari. Heura allows you to incorporate plant based meat into your menu while maintaining your commitment to product quality. Heura is the only plant based meat made with olive oil and has the best nutritional values in the segment. Esteve highlights “the versatility of Heura allows to recreate all traditional recipes and its taste amazes everyone, they don’t believe it is plant based meat”.
The menu presented by Nectari for the weekend of June 5th on the occasion of World Environment Day has a price of 35 euros and can be ordered and delivered at home.
The Heura tasting menu by Nectari for Environment Day is:
Heura Fingers marinated with spices (Vegetarian)
Heura taco with Km0 vegetables from Baix Llobregat (Vegan)
Roasted Heura cannelloni au gratin (Vegetarian)
Heura’s Paella with vegetables (Vegan)
Stuffed Eclair (Vegetarian)
This menu will not only delight the palate, but each menu saves 1,230 litres of water,or the amount of 20 showers; and 2.34 kg of CO2, or the same as driving 10 kilometres in a car; thanks to the inclusion of 100% Heura vegetable meat. A delicious way to take care of the planet.
