SonorPlex wins top prize at the 2017 Event Industry Awards

Interactive event software company SonorPlex recently took the top prize in the Best Technology Category at the 2017 Event Industry Awards.

Fighting off stiff competition in the category (including the likes of the Croke Park Events Venue) the company took first prize at the showcase event in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin on the 14th of July.

Launched in 2009, the Event Industry Awards celebrate excellence and showcase the very highest standards in Ireland’s event industry. The EIAs is the only awards programme for the Industry to come together and celebrate with peers.

The Event Industry Awards not only acknowledges the teams, companies and clients who raise the bar for events in Ireland, it is also a much needed opportunity to recognise the outstanding people within the industry.

SonorPlex is a communications and interactivity service which brings benefits to both delegates and organisers at conferences and events. SonorPlex enhances the learning and interaction experience for the conference delegates and delivers new in-depth actionable analytics for organisers.

SonorPlex Managing Director Niall O’Connor said

“It’s really wonderful to get recognition on home turf, particularly as there were a number of International Judges included on the panel. We’ve delivered most of our work to date in the international market but we’d like to raise our profile here in Ireland and deliver more services at Irish events”

Founded by Niall O’Connor and Barry Gildea, the company has provided interactive services for tens of thousands of conference delegates around the world, including high profile events for pharmaceutical giants, Novartis, GSK and Astra Zeneca. The journey has taken SonorPlex to events as far west as San Francisco and as far east as Kuala Lumpur.

A podcast interview with Niall O’Connor will be published next week.
